Worry Free

I just found this while cleaning off my desktop: I wrote it during a flight to NYC when I was waiting to see if I would get on:

Life, is kind of like flying stand by..

you have absolutely no control… you may think you do, but in reality you don't. AND when you try to act like you can change things by crying, lying, or talking with the gate agents, you just seem stupid. You exhaust yourself, when you could just be drinking a starbucks and reading your favorite book. Whether you are constantly looking up at the board or leisurely reading your book, you will end up in the same spot: either on the aircraft, or not.

The best thing you can do is just sit back and enjoy the ride. Stressing out will literally get you in the same place as just sitting back and relaxing. Why do we choose to worry ourselves when there is nothing we can do?

I tend to do that too much. I come from a long list of worriers who worry themselves into sickness, and why? For what? Really, what will worrying do to improve ANY situation? nothing.

I need to work on that…Life is much better without worrying.
